Production Supervisor

Opelika, AL

Production Supervisor – Niagara Bottling

We’re looking for a dynamic Leader to supervise daily operations of our production floor while ensuring the shift meets established safety, quality, and production goals in compliance with all legal and food safety requirements.

Essential Functions
  • Manage and direct shift activities to maintain product safety, quality, and throughput.
  • Build effective working relationships with team members through open communication and visibility.
  • Analyze the production schedule before shift start and adjust team assignments to meet targets.
  • Coach, develop, and manage team members, including hiring, training, performance reviews, and conflict resolution.
  • Inspect raw materials and perform first‑pass quality checks to prevent non‑conforming product.
  • Partner with Maintenance to resolve downtime on production lines.
  • Complete shift reports for production numbers, downtime, attendance, overtime, and quality checks.
  • Conduct walkthroughs to ensure safety, quality, and housekeeping compliance.
  • Interface with multiple departments to meet customer deadlines.
  • Participate in hiring interviews and collaborate with plant leadership on safety culture.
  • Conduct weekly safety talks, daily meetings, and hourly safety walks.
  • Adhere to company and plant safety standards, GMP, and food safety requirements.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to production methods and equipment performance.
  • Suggest changes to working conditions to increase efficiency.
  • Monitor time and attendance accurately and utilize efficiency tools for downtime analysis.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Work 12‑hour shifts (day or night) on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule or as needed.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • 4 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • 4 years experience in a supervisory role.
    • 4 years experience managing people/projects.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • 6 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • 6 years experience in a supervisory role.
    • 6 years experience managing people/projects.
  • Combination of work experience and education may satisfy requirements.
  • Understanding of production processes and controls.

Education
  • Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED.
