ResponsibilitiesStudies cells under a microscope to detect evidence of pathological conditions following established standards and practices. Submits slides with abnormal cell structures to pathologist for further examination. Maintains workload requirements following CAP guidelines.
Qualifications- B.S. degree in health science or must meet the CAP/CLIA standards for a practicing cytotechnologist
- 1 year experience in cytotechnology or equivalent
- Required Registration/License/Certification
- CT (ASCP) Certification
- Preferred Education
- B.S. in Cytotechnology
- Preferred Experience
- 1-3 years’ experience in cytotechnology
- Preferred Registration/License/Certification
