TES Inventory Control Clerk
The individual hired into this position will perform duties to requisition, ship, receive, inspect, store, issue, and deliver materials, equipment, and supplies.
Scheduled work hours are Mon, Wed, and Fri from 8:00am – 4:00pm.
Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons whose most common are:
- Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
- Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
- Assistance with special projects
- Seasonal work
AU students are not eligible for TES.
Essential Functions- Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
- Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workload
- Maintenance and refill of inventory in Pyxis machines
- Packaging and distribution of item kits for specific service areas
- Mail retrieval, sorting, and distribution
- Performs daily, monthly, and/or quarterly inventory of warehouse and storage areas
- Receives items for stock room inventory and completes all necessary documentation
- Issues inventory items to customers by a computerized system
- Delivers materials to customers and job sites/service areas
- May perform accounting procedures related to invoicing, charges, receiving, inventory, database input, and various reports
