Position
The College of Pharmacy’s Associate Dean for Research Administration is hiring a TES Administrative Support Assistant to provide part‑time, temporary administrative support for the Auburn University Harrison College of Pharmacy Center for Opioid Research, Education and Outreach program (COACH).
Temporary Employment Services (TES)TES, a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in‑house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet staffing needs across campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons, most common being:
- Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period
- Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
- Assistance with special projects
- Seasonal work
AU students are not eligible for TES.
Essential Functions- Answers telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Creates and maintains records, files, documents, and images in the data system
- Prepares documents, reports, newsletters and manuscripts, and may compose correspondence
- Operates standard office equipment such as personal computers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, etc.
- Assists the COACH Operations Manager with administrative and clerical tasks
- Performs routine administrative duties, including email correspondence, filing, record keeping, maintaining calendars, and ordering supplies
- Provides logistic and administrative support for meetings/events and assists manager with pre‑planning, scheduling, venue set‑up/teardown, and participant management
- Travels statewide to provide on‑site support for COACH programs and events, including some overnight trips when necessary for multi‑day events

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in a fast‑paced office environment
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 20 lb. boxes/equipment as needed
- Experience administratively supporting events
Salary: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
Work Hours:
M–F 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (scheduling will vary based on programs/events)
