Responsibilities- Perform procedures on patients of all ages according to approved protocols, radiation safety, and established exam indicators.
- Maintain patient and procedure documentation.
- Maintain knowledge of equipment and instruments/supplies pertinent to high quality exams.
- Provide effective internal and external patient communication consistent with age and mental capacity.
- Travel between sites as needed.
Education and Experience
- Enrolled in an ARRT acknowledged radiology program. Must remain enrolled during employment and notify supervisor/HR if no longer enrolled.
- Have and maintain an active Medical Imaging License issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI). Must obtain and keep it before providing services in Oregon.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network, unless certified in ACLS and/or PALS or per SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
- Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Know, understand, incorporate, and demonstrate the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric as applicable).
- Ensure accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to patients (Revenue Management).
- Perform ordered procedures according to departmental protocols and procedures, ensuring optimum exams are acquired efficiently and timely.
- Keep accurate and updated documentation of medications on inventory and medications utilized.
- Maintain required inventory of instruments and supplies used in performance of procedures.
- Properly set up and execute sterile environment.
- Support staff by performing various clinical duties, as outlined in the SAMG Clinical Competency Manual, to ensure patients receive excellent care in a timely manner.
