Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with travel background and required certifications for a night shift position, willing to float as needed.
Responsibilities
• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week (19::00)
• Nurse-to-patient ratios typically 1:1 to 1:2 or higher
• Must float to all three campuses as needed (Ontario, Bucyrus, Galion)
• Management of emergency airway, vented patients, artlines, dysrhythmias, central lines, IV drips, and isolation precautions required
• Triage skills in ER or ER Holding required
• Electronic charting experience required;
Epic experience preferred
• On-call responsibilities may be required with 1-hour facility return time
• Must be willing to float to different campuses to maintain hours in case of low census
• Every other weekend shift required; make-up of all missed shifts necessary
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• If scheduled on-call, must be able to arrive at the hospital within one hour
• Time off for major holidays is not permitted
• Facility and campus are smoke-free
• Returning employees must have a minimum six-month gap after permanent employment
• Dress code and scrub requirements not specified
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate
Requirements
• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of application
• Minimum 2 years recent Emergency Department RN experience
• Prior travel RN experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC
• Demonstrated competence in airway and vent management, artlines, central lines, IV drips, dysrhythmia management, isolation precautions, and triage
• Experience with electronic charting systems;
Epic preferred
• Module completion through Health Stream required prior to start
