Position Description

Immediate opening for a SOLO Non CDL Yard Truck Driver and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Ontario, CA! You might be wondering what your paycheck will look like. $880 or more per week – and it gets better.

• Hourly Pay: $22.00 Per Hour
• Hours Per Week: 40 + hours per week
• Schedule:

• Start Time: 4:00 AM and 3:00 PM

Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide.

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Must have verifiable driving experience in "like" equipment:
• 9 months experience in the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Yard Driver Examination
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

• Primarily responsible for safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard, but cannot drive on public roads
• The position requires compliance with safety & DOT regulations, continuous training and customer service

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Maintaining accurate move and yard inventory records; other tasks as assigned
