Roadside Technician Commercial Tires - Ontario, CA

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking a Roadside Technician for our Commercial Tires team in Ontario, CA. This role involves emergency response tire service for semi‑truck fleets, including on‑site repairs and tire changes. When no service calls are pending, Technicians will assist with shop duties such as mounting orders, cleaning, and general maintenance.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00/hr (subject to variation based on experience, skills, and market location). Selected candidates may be eligible for benefits including medical, prescription, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, tuition assistance, sick and vacation time, and tire discounts.

Shift Information: The position requires participation in a mandatory on‑call rotation. Technicians must respond to after‑hours service requests—including evenings and weekends—at a guaranteed minimum premium rate.

Basic Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without future company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous commercial service tire experience.

About the Role:
What skills will you learn?

  • Servicing commercial tires: dismounting, mounting, and repairing any type of tire.
  • Performing match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary.
  • Inflating tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
  • Complying with OSHA regulations and safety requirements, including proper PPE usage, tire cages, and all safety policies.
