Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Customer Service Rep
Join Travel Centers of America as a Porter – PT (Part‑time). This role keeps our travel centers clean, safe, and welcoming for millions of truck drivers and motorists daily. The Customer Service Attendant maintains our facilities, ensuring a pleasant environment and supporting our mission to “return every traveler to the road better than they came.”
Job SummaryWe carry a wide selection of name‑brand products and offer Grab ‘N Go foods, groceries, snacks, electronics, maintenance supplies and even clothing and gifts! The role requires a dedicated, team‑working individual excited about providing excellent customer service.
In this role, you can expect to:- Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer service
- Clean all areas of the facility as directed and provide our guests with a clean, sanitary environment
- Know and follow all safety and security guidelines and procedures; alert to and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members and guests; take corrective action when necessary
- Wear and use protective equipment properly and safely
- Know quantities and types of cleaning supplies used for each cleaning assignment
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned

- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Working knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies

$16.50 – $18.80 per hour. Pay reflects potential compensation based on responsibilities, duties, experience and skills.
Typical Physical DemandsRegularly required to talk and hear; standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, climbing; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities: near, far, color, peripheral, depth, focus. All performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Work EnvironmentMay be exposed to outdoor elements in all seasons; occasional exposure to fumes, particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration; noise level can be loud. May be exposed to dirt, dust, grime, grease, oil, gas, high‑concentrated cleaning solutions, etc.
