Salary Range: $90,000.00 To $ Annually
ABBA Roller is seeking a QA Engineer 2 who will support various aspects of ABBA’s Quality Management System, ensuring world-class systems and performance through a continual focus on process improvement, supplier development, and customer interaction. Support a culture of Continuous Improvement and positive Customer Experiences. Substantial knowledge of the ISO quality management system and formal problem-solving tools such as 8D and Ishikawa is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Quality engineering responsibility for Rubber and Urethane processes
- Quality Champion and change agent for assigned areas of responsibility
- Implement and maintain the Cost of Quality system
- Work closely with Engineering to ensure that designs can be manufactured with repeatable Quality
- Plan and perform internal quality audits and execute action items
- Lead Quality initiatives and develop and facilitate Quality teams
- Provide Quality function support by working closely with Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing to manage customer relations, expectations, needs, and satisfaction
- Independently drive and direct actions with departmental groups to maintain MRB and RMA issues
- Drive key Quality performance metrics: DPPM, OTD, Cost of Quality, Customer Scorecards, Internal Audit Risk and Effectiveness, Supplier Performance, and Contract Review.
- Formulate and maintain quality assurance/control objectives complementary to organization policies and goals, and training requirements.
- Create and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
- Design and implement quality control training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers.
- All other duties and tasks as required.
- 5+ years working experience in a manufacturing regulated environment
- Previous experience in a high-mix, low volume job shop
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100D Quality Management System processes.
- Detailed knowledge of manufacturing requirements and specifications
- Proven track record of partnering with manufacturing via applying Engineering and Quality expertise to improve quality, reduce cost, improve lead time, and drive efficiencies
- Experience or past history with root cause analysis and corrective action
- Knowledge of auditing ISO 9001:2015 Quality standards
- Experience with formal quality and operations systems
- Familiar with Kaizen, 6S, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and Lean Production
- Capable of reviewing and interpreting drawings, contracts / POs, and applicable processing standards.
- Proficient in the use of digital/analog measuring instruments, e.g., micrometers, calipers, linear and dial gauges, height gauges, and a visual comparator
- Skilled at performing First Article inspections
- Proficiency with MS Office applications:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook - An understanding of the use and application of SPC
