Location: Ontario, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM — 5:00 PM (Overtime and occasional Saturdays may be required)
Pay Rate: $20.00 — $22.00 per hour

HR is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Recruiter / Qualification Specialist to join our staffing team in Ontario, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating applicants, conducting interviews and screenings, and matching qualified candidates to client job orders through skill-based analysis and strong customer service.
This position is ideal for someone with staffing experience, strong administrative skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Qualification Specialist, you will:
- Conduct phone screens and evaluate applicants for job readiness
- Interview candidates and summarize relevant experience and skills
- Coordinate and schedule interview appointments
- Administer pre-employment skills testing, safety training, and orientation
- Process reference checks, background checks, and drug testing per client requirements
- Complete employment eligibility verification (Form I-9 and E-Verify)
- Maintain accurate employment and onboarding records (W-4, direct deposit, benefits forms)
- Ensure compliance with EEO, ADA, and affirmative action guidelines
- Resolve employee issues related to performance, misconduct, or complaints
- Fulfill open job orders through recruiting, networking, referrals, cold calling, and job fairs
- Communicate consistently with clients and candidates throughout placement lifecycle
- Conduct regular client visits to ensure satisfaction and address staffing needs
- Manage Workers’ Compensation claims documentation and risk management communication
- Collect and verify weekly time and attendance records for payroll processing
- Answer incoming calls professionally and provide excellent customer support
- Maintain client job documentation including job descriptions, pay rates, and bill rates
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of staffing or recruiting experience
- Minimum 1–2 years of office or administrative experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Demonstrated resume longevity (no frequent job hopping; at least 1 year per employer preferred)
- Strong computer skills including Outlook, Word, Internet, spreadsheets, and databases
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently under pressure
- Professional communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively with diverse teams and clients
