We are seeking a Manager of Engineering Services - Project Manager to join our team at our Ontario, CA bakery
. In this role, you will oversee engineering projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. You will lead a team of engineers, drive the capital program, enhance equipment reliability, and support new product development—partnering closely with bakery operations, supply chain, and corporate teams. This role strengthens our operational efficiency and long-term engineering strategy.

Compensation
Salary Range: $109,000-$135,000
- Lead all aspects of project management from Basis of Design (BOD) through commissioning and handover, ensuring objectives are met safely, on time, and within budget.
- Manage scheduling, budgeting, project coordination, and status reporting.
- Oversee vendor and equipment evaluation, negotiation, selection, and procurement.
- Prepare and submit Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs), including presentation development for funding approvals.
- Develop and review scope documents, specifications, and drawings.
- Supervise contractors and ensure successful commissioning and transition to Operations.
- Facilitate project reviews, stakeholder meetings, and report project progress and budget status.
- Promote systematic project management tools and continuous improvement practices.
- Support bakery operations and maintenance teams with small-scope project completion across multiple regions.
- Participate in multiyear capital planning, including forecasting and reporting on commitments and spend.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Business Units, and Corporate teams to align on best practices, vendor performance, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a Maintenance SME, developing engineering solutions to persistent failures or operational inefficiencies.
- Assist in managing equipment supplier issues impacting safety, quality, regulatory compliance, or productivity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline).
- 7-10 years of experience in reliability engineering and/or project management within food engineering.
- Knowledge of asset care, maintenance management, and capital project execution from feasibility through start-up.
- Understanding of safety, food safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance in manufacturing.
- Experience applying engineering knowledge to support new food development and commercialization.
- Strong planning, coordination, and project leadership skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
AutoCAD experience preferred.
