Tax Preparer

Description

Our business services accounting firm is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Tax Preparer to join our team in Ontario, California. The successful candidate will provide accurate and timely tax preparation services for businesses and individuals while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and business clients in accordance with current IRS and California state tax regulations.

+ Review client financial records, including income statements and supporting documentation, to determine necessary forms and complete accurate submissions.

+ Advise clients on tax planning strategies, potential deductions, credits, and liabilities to optimize their tax position.

+ Communicate with the IRS and California Franchise Tax Board on behalf of clients regarding notices, audits, and other tax matters.

+ Maintain confidential client records and ensure compliance with all data privacy regulations.

+ Stay informed on changes in tax laws and filing requirements relevant to California and federal taxation.

+ Collaborate with accounting and business services professionals to deliver a seamless client experience.

Requirements



Qualifications:

+ Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

+ Completion of a recognized Tax Preparation Course or equivalent credential is an asset.

+ Previous experience preparing U.S. federal and California state tax returns for individuals and businesses.

+ Strong knowledge of U.S. and California tax codes and guidelines.

+ Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.

+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

+ High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
