Safety Coordinator

Marble City Logistics is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team in Alcoa, Tennessee. You will be the driving force behind our commitment to safety, ensuring drivers and operations meet the highest standards of compliance and regulatory excellence.

• Monitor and enforce safety policies and procedures for all truck drivers and company operations
• Ensure full compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and other applicable federal and state regulations
• Conduct driver safety orientations, ongoing training, and refresher programs
• Perform regular safety audits, vehicle inspections, and driver record reviews
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; document findings and implement corrective actions
• Maintain accurate records of driver qualifications, HOS logs, and regulatory filings
• Coordinate drug and alcohol testing programs per DOT requirements
• Identify safety risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies
• Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related questions from drivers and management
• Keep current on changes in transportation safety regulations and industry best practices

• Experience in transportation safety, compliance, or a related field strongly preferred
• Current or former CDL (Commercial Driver's License) experience is a plus
• Solid working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
• Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and management at all levels
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation management software preferred
