The roleThe Global Logistics Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for defining, executing, and optimizing Wayve’s global logistics, customs, transportation, and potentially warehousing operations across the UK, US, Asia Pacific, and EU.
This role owns end‑to‑end inbound and outbound logistics, customs compliance, tariffs and duties, transportation strategy, and logistics partner management. The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands‑on leader who can operate in a fast‑moving, hardware‑driven environment, balancing speed, cost, compliance, and risk while enabling critical program milestones.
This role will have help setting up the logistics roadmap as Wayve continue to scale up internationally.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a global logistics strategy aligned with company objectives, hardware programs, and regional growth plans
- Own relationships with global and regional freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers and lead rate negotiations, contract renewals, and capacity planning across regions
- Own and ensure full compliance with domestic and international trade regulations, customs rules, tariff/duty, and safety standards
- Own and implement logistics‑related processes and tools and ensure they are documented, standardised, and scalable
- Ensure seamless integration between logistics systems and purchasing, warehouse, finance, and other stakeholders workflows
In order to set you up for success as a Logistics Manager at Wayve, we’re looking for the following skills and experience.
Essential- Prefer to have managerial experience
- Experience to set up company logistics strategy and team from scratch
- Strong understanding of carrier/forwarder shipping rate and cost breakdown
- Deep knowledge of international custom/duty/tariff regulation and policy
- Working at both a startup and established company
- Automotive background
- 15+ years of experience
This is a full‑time role based in our office in London.
