Regional CDL A Tandem Truck Driver

Overview

Class A CDL truck driver who safely operates Class A company equipment performing delivery and/or pickup of HP Hood LLC / Crowley Foods and other company products at Sales Divisions, warehouses, grocery customers, company depots, and other locations following all DOT regulations and company fleet safety policies and procedures.

Northeast Regional position offering a few nights at home during the week for your 10 hour break along with a full 48 hour break being Fri/Sat, Sat/Sun or Sun/Mon. Pay is .74 CPM along with accessorial pay. Mainly No Touch. For candidates based in New York State, this position typically pays between $80,000 - $100,000 annually. Drivers are paid per mile and have the ability to make more than $100,000 annually!

• Safe Driving and delivery functions at assigned locations.
• Back haul of products and materials.
• Maintain positive customer relations.
• Maintain a professional and clean truck, both inside and outside.
• Maintain all log and trip records according to company policy and DOT guideline.
• Acknowledgement and follow through on maintenance needs for all assigned vehicles.
• Attendance required at company and sponsored training sessions and meetings.

• Must be able to safely operate Class A equipment, must have 5 yrs. experience and a doubles endorsement.
• High school graduate preferred. Must be able to read and write English legibly and communicate verbally in the English language.
• You must be able to perform accurate math computations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to sit/drive for duration of several hours required. Ability to climb into and out of company vehicles assigned.
• Ability to safely navigate within areas encountered while performing duties of position.

• Ability to lift and/or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and walk.
• The employee is also regularly required to drive various company owned or operated passenger and commercial vehicles.
• The employee is often required to use hands to handle or feel objects, stand, kneel or crouch.
