Job Summary /ObjectiveThe Flight Operations Dispatcher is responsible for flight dispatch coordination and trip planning, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant flight operations under FAA Part 135, Part 91, and ICAO regulations, as well as compliance with regulatory and company policies.

KeyDuties & Responsibilities
- Flight Dispatch Coordination:
Under supervision of the Flight Operations Management, coordinate the daily flight dispatching, ensuring that all flights are properly planned and filed in compliance with applicable Planet Nine, FAA Part 91, Part 135 and international regulations, including all domestic and international flight plans, weather assessments, route optimization, fuel planning, aircraft performance, alternate airport evaluations, airspace restrictions, and geopolitical factors. - Ensure compliance with foreign country requirements. Ensures up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations, including overflight and landing permits, visa requirements, and customs procedures.
- Complete other tasks, as assigned by the Flight Operations Management.
- Flight Crew Coordination:
Maintain visibility on all Aircraft communication channels to provide crew members with timely and accurate flight information, including alternate routing, weather updates, and operational changes. - Support pilots and crews with troubleshooting flight plans or weather-related issues during the flight.
- Operational Logistics Coordination:
Ensure coordination of operational logistics, including ground handling, airport services, and fuel procurement. - Troubleshoot and resolve any operational challenges that arise during flight operations planning and execution.
- Collaborate with safety, operations, and regulatory teams to ensure flight plans are developed with a safety-first mindset, incorporating risk analysis, weather reports, and safety advisories.
- Participate in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) to identify and mitigate operational risks related to worldwide flight dispatch operations.
- Customer Service and Communication:
Provide outstanding customer service to internal stakeholders (flight crews, operations, etc.) and external clients by maintaining clear and professional communication about flight status, operational delays, or changes in routing. - Assist the Sales and Client Services Teams with proposed trip feasibility checks, ensuring that accurate operational details regarding potential flights is relayed to the customer.
- Supports the Flight Operations Management with emergency response and irregular operations.
- Professional Standards & Flexibility:
Adhere to Planet Nine’s operational policies, safety procedures, and regulatory standards by completing required training and maintaining compliance across all assigned duties. - Adapt to evolving priorities by performing additional tasks or projects as needed to support team and organizational goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with other team members, flight crews, and internal colleagues.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and make operational decisions under pressure.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate international time zones and flight schedules.
- Ability to travel, as determined by management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications (FAA Dispatcher Certificate or equivalent international certification) preferred.
- At least 3 years of related experience in a flight operations environment, with a focus on international operations preferred.
- Knowledge of FAA regulations, ICAO standards, and other international aviation rules.
- Previous experience with flight planning software, aviation weather systems, and international flight tracking platforms.
