Location
  • Remote within United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, Australia & New Zealand (You must be legally authorised to work in the country where you are based)
  • Compensation $15 - $18 per hour based on location, experience, responsibilities, and performance.
Role Overview

We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients, a leading global player in the AI space. This remote, part‑time contract role focuses on the linguistic precision of AI models. You will act as a language expert, rigorously evaluating AI‑generated text to ensure it adheres to the highest standards of English grammar, syntax, and idiomatic fluency. Your work helps the model bridge the gap between robotic outputs and natural, human‑like communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate AI‑generated responses for grammatical correctness, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure.
  • Assess the "naturalness" and flow of the text, identifying awkward phrasing, repetition, or unnatural word choices that signal machine generation.
  • Compare multiple AI responses to a single prompt and rank them based on linguistic quality and adherence to specific regional English standards (e.g., US vs. UK vs. Australian spelling/vocabulary).
  • Edit and rewrite responses to demonstrate proper tone, voice, and register (e.g., formal business English vs. casual conversational English).
  • Flag cultural inconsistencies or idioms that are used incorrectly within a specific regional context.
Qualifications
  • Native‑level mastery of the English language with a deep understanding of nuance, idioms, and colloquialisms.
  • Proven experience in proofreading, copy editing, translation, or teaching English as a Second Language (ESL/EFL).
  • A sharp eye for detail, capable of spotting even the smallest errors in syntax or mechanics.
  • Ability to explain why a sentence is grammatically incorrect or awkward using clear linguistic terminology.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, managing time across multiple projects.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Rate: Earn up to $18 USD/hr (Rates vary based on project complexity and expertise).
  • Flexibility: 100% remote with no fixed schedule. Contributors typically spend 5–10 hours per week, with the option to work up to 40 hours.
