Overview
Kid Sport Inclusive Summer Camp offers children ages 4-11 the opportunity to learn and play a variety of team sports, individual sports, team building games, fitness, and other physical education activities, in a non-competitive and fun sports environment. Kid Sport Inclusive is for children who do not require a high degree of personalized support to participate in large group physical activities.

Location: Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, MI. You will need to have transportation to this location.
Application InstructionsAlong with your application, please include a cover letter stating if you are applying for the counselor, lead counselor or both positions. Describe any experience you have working with or teaching children ages 4-11 years. List any sports you feel comfortable leading and/or those you have enjoyed playing yourself.
Required Qualifications- Inclusive And Lead Responsibilities
- Provide quality instruction, coaching, and supervision to campers ages 4-11
- Plan daily activities using provided Kid Sport activity resources
- Help campers engage in physical activities
- Prepare and put away equipment daily
- Must be available for 9 weeks (June 15-August 14), Monday through Friday, from approximately 8am-4pm, with a lunch break from 12-1pm. No camp Thursday, July 2nd or Friday, July 3rd.
- Some staff will be needed until 5pm to supervise aftercare and others will be needed to help supervise lunch. No one will work over 40 hours/week
- Available for our paid camp orientation week, June 8-12, 2026.
- Leadership experience working with children in a physical activity setting
- Experience planning physical activities for children in a group setting
