Pool Manager is responsible for managing the swimming pools, splash pads, and other aquatics features/facilities and staff. This is a year-round full-time position and reports to the Facilities Manager.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administrative Duties
    • Train staff on policies from the lifeguard handbook
    • Complete required reports on a timely basis
    • Conduct classes and training for aquatics staff
    • Ensure all lifeguard certifications are current
    • Assist with scheduling staff, monitoring payroll, and maintaining compliance with labor budget
  • Pool Maintenance Duties
    • Balance and maintain water chemistry, safely handle chemicals and ensure SDS are up to date
    • Oversee all operations of the Water Park including Swimming Lake, Splash Pad, Boats, Lifeguard Station, Pool, MLPS, Warming Tub, Hilltop Cabin Hot Tub
    • Ensure all water features circulation and filtration stay at proper rates
    • Conduct safety and maintenance inspections daily, documenting and fixing any issues
    • Resolve advanced issues through ordering, contracting and vendor relations
    • Vacuum pools and clean and maintain all areas of the aquatic facilities
    • Maintains all required reports and documentation for Northgate and government agency compliance
    • Perform daily maintenance tasks and repairs as needed
  • Aquatics Duties
    • Oversee seasonal pool supervisor, lifeguards, and pool attendants
    • Maintains surveillance of guests in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of guests in the event of an emergency
    • Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
    • Ensures the safety of patrons of an aquatic facility by preventing and responding to emergencies
    • Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility
    • Comply with all aquatic facility rules and lifeguard handbook
  • Other Essential Duties
    • Collaborate with park and home office departments
    • Respond to guest inquiries using the company’s service recovery guidelines
    • Utilize and learn reservation system for daily planning
    • Present professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service
    • Required to perform the same tasks as the individuals they supervise
    • Participate in other projects and activities as assigned
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
  • Experience working in aquatics facilities maintenance
  • CPO certified
  • Electrical and plumbing knowledge
  • Experience working in a waterpark setting preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of tools
  • Valid Lifeguard (CPR, AED, and first aid) certification, or willingness to obtain, is required
  • Experience in customer service and hospitality preferred

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management
  • Required to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Able to move up to 80 pounds
  • Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
  • Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, etc.
  • Constant exposure to outside weather conditions
