What You Will Be Doing

• Conducting proactive one-on-one coaching sessions where you convert your athletic discipline into targeted, practical coaching frameworks
• Delivering high-impact morning assemblies that activate and energize the entire student population
• Guiding interactive life skills workshops where you directly coach students through exercises focused on resilience, leadership, and goal achievement
• Leading structured afternoon athletic training sessions that embody championship principles: creating drills, driving intensity, refining technique, and instilling grit and collaboration through athletic competition (not merely overseeing activity)
• Actively connecting with each student throughout the day: moving through spaces during independent study periods, stepping in to inspire when students encounter obstacles, and generating meaningful moments that catalyze breakthrough progress

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Observing from a distance as a passive figurehead: this is an active coaching position. You're fully engaged on the ground, running sessions, facilitating interactions, and responding immediately to student needs.
• Delivering conventional academic instruction or adhering to formal lesson plans: students use adaptive technology for academics. Your focus is life coaching, motivational support, and developing meta-skills through athletics and direct mentorship.

• We're seeking former elite athletes who have competed at the pinnacle of their sport — Olympians, World Champions, professional athletes in the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, or NHL, or NCAA Division I All-Americans
• Bachelor's degree in any subject
• Proven experience using sport to mentor and coach life skills
• Demonstrated motivational leadership in athletic, academic, or professional settings
• Legal right to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
• Willing to live in or relocate to Austin, TX

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
