Social Media Associate

Essentially Sports is hiring a Social Media Associate to join its energetic and passionate US Sports team!

Essentially Sports is one of the leading sports entertainment digital media publications in the world, garnering  50M+ pageviews every month  and continuing to grow rapidly. We’re building content for the most passionate sports fans across  NBA, NFL, Combat Sports, Golf, Olympics, NASCAR , and more.

Responsibilities
Creating social media designs and creatives using  Canva
Basic  Reel editing  using video editing tools
Publishing and managing social media posts across platforms
Staying up to date with  current trends across US Sports  (NBA, NFL, Combat Sports, Golf, Olympics, NASCAR, etc.)
Finding and curating high-quality reels, photos, memes, and visual assets for allocated pages
Monitoring  traffic, link clicks, and engagement metrics
Tracking and reporting  monetization performance  for assigned pages
Collaborating closely with the content team and social media stakeholders
Analyzing post-level and page-level performance to improve reach and engagement
Subscribing to and following relevant sports pages, creators, and leagues

Requirements

Experience with  Canva or similar design tools  is a strong advantage
Basic understanding of  reels, short-form video, and editing tools
Understanding of how  social media algorithms  work
Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Excellent command of the  English language
Familiarity with major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, You Tube, etc.)
Strong interest in  US Sports
