We are seeking a software-first engineer with deep infrastructure expertise—someone who builds systemsonAWS, not just deploys to it. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys developing cloud-native services, shaping infrastructure through code, and working across application and platform boundaries.
The position is remote-first, with intentional quarterly in-person collaboration in the DC area.
What You’ll DoDesign and develop cloud-native software systems with scalability, reliability, and security in mind
Build, extend, and maintain AWS infrastructure through code rather than manual configuration
Develop internal services, tooling, and platforms that support infrastructure and operations
Collaborate closely with software, infrastructure, and security teams in a classified environment
Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy
Participate in quarterly in-person planning and collaboration sessions in the DC area
Active TS/SCI clearance
Strong software engineering background with an infrastructure mindset
Proficiency in Go (Golang), or strong experience with C, C++, or Python
Hands-on experience developing solutions within AWS, beyond basic service consumption
Experience building or maintaining distributed systems or cloud-native applications
Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment with periodic on-site collaboration
Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform, Cloud Formation, CDK, etc.)
Experience building internal platforms, developer tooling, or cloud services
Familiarity with secure, regulated, or classified environments
