Senior Quality Engineer (Java) at Baires DevWe’re looking for a Senior Quality Engineer who writes Java and has built the kind of test automation that actually works in distributed, high‑complexity backend environments. You don’t just write tests — you design the frameworks that make thorough testing possible, you integrate quality into CI/CD workflows, and you understand the underlying systems well enough to know where the real risks are.
You’ll be contributing to the release quality of a data platform that enterprise customers worldwide rely on to keep their critical operations running.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks in Java, covering functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Define and implement test strategies that reflect the failure modes of distributed backend systems.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipeline test stages.
- Champion quality engineering practices across the team.
- Monitor and report on test coverage and release confidence metrics.
- 5+ years of experience in IT roles.
- 3+ years of experience with Java as a primary language in quality or test engineering.
- Solid experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG, including integration and E2E test design.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and how test automation integrates into release workflows.
- Experience with defect diagnosis and regression testing.
- Understanding of distributed systems and the challenges they introduce for test design.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
