Mobile Engineer | React & React Native Essential | £65,000 | Remote-first (UK)

Are you a Front-End Developer with strong commercial experience building and shipping mobile applications using React Native?

I’m partnering with a well-established, product-led SaaS organisation that is investing heavily in the redevelopment of its native mobile application alongside the continued modernisation of its web platform. This role will play a key part in shaping the next generation of their mobile experience.

As a Senior Front-End Developer, your primary focus will be mobile application development using React Native. You will contribute to rebuilding and enhancing the existing mobile app, ensuring performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability.

Alongside mobile development, you will support the evolution of the core Web UI using React, working within a collaborative Agile environment.

You will work closely with the Team Lead, Product Designer, QA, and senior engineers to deliver high-quality, well-structured front-end features, while leveraging AI‑assisted development tools to improve efficiency and code quality.

• Strong experience with React in production environments
• Experience with component‑based front‑end architecture
• Experience shipping mobile applications into production
• Strong understanding of mobile performance optimisation and debugging
• Experience using Git and standard version‑control workflows
• Experience working within Agile teams
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools as part of day‑to‑day engineering workflow
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure during peak delivery periods

• Develop and enhance mobile features using React Native
• Contribute to the rebuild and optimisation of the mobile application
• Translate Figma designs and prototypes into production‑ready user interfaces
• Write secure, maintainable, and testable code aligned with internal standards
• Use AI‑assisted tools (e.g. Claude, Intelli
  
  J Junie or equivalent) to improve productivity and consistency

• Work closely with Product Design, Engineering, and QA to support feature delivery
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand‑ups, sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives
• Engage in peer reviews and architecture discussions
• Communicate progress, risks, and blockers clearly and proactively

• Conduct thorough testing using approved tools
• Assist with debugging, performance optimisation, and issue resolution
• Contribute to documentation and maintain technical standards
• Support knowledge sharing within the development team
• Stay current with modern front‑end and mobile technologies
• Identify opportunities to improve mobile performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Contribute to evolving coding standards and development processes
• Experience working with Java‑based backend environments
• Familiarity with advanced debugging and performance profiling tools
• Experience working with or contributing to native mobile applications
