Senior Software Engineer - TS, React, Node

We are working with an early stage start-up who have an AI native platform operating in the financial services space. They are already working with funds managing billions in assets but internally they still move like a 10 person startup.

They are now hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join a small, high calibre team in London.

This is not a corporate environment. It is a high ownership, high velocity team where engineers ship end to end and shape the product as it scales.

What makes this role slightly different is the profile they are looking for.

They would ideally like someone who has already experienced the next phase of growth in a 30-100 person company. Someone who joined when things were smaller, saw the complexity increase, felt the architectural pressure points and helped evolve the system through that growth.

You will understand:

• The technical challenges of scaling a product through real usage growth
• The trade offs between speed and structure
• When to refactor and when to move
• How architecture decisions made at 15 engineers feel very different at 80

And importantly, you must want to go back to an earlier stage environment and do that again.

You will own features end to end, from schema design through to frontend polish. You will help refine the architecture as they scale multi tenant, AI driven systems. You will work closely with founders on product direction and technical trade offs.

They are also strong believers in modern AI tooling within engineering workflows. Comfort using tools such as Cursor, Copilot or similar to accelerate development is expected.

This will suit someone who:

• Has 4 to 6 years experience building production web applications
• Is genuinely full stack and comfortable moving between frontend and backend
• Has worked in a scaling startup environment
• Thrives in small, in person, high energy teams
• Wants impact and visibility rather than a narrow lane

Paying £90-110K + equity and is a hybrid role, 3-days per week in London.
