** Job Description*
* ** The Principal Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer drives the modernization of Prime's AI capabilities by designing, optimizing, and advancing innovative solutions that unlock business insights, improve operational efficiency, and reduce costs. This role serves as a strategic thought leader-shaping vision, influencing senior leadership, and championing forward‑thinking AI practices that align technology investments with enterprise goals. Through deep expertise and innovation, the Principal AI Engineer ensures Prime remains competitive and future‑ready.*
* ** Responsibilities*

** Serve as a subject matter expert in AI and Machine Learning
** to support and advance Prime's strategic initiatives.

** Lead cross‑functional teams
** to identify, evaluate, and prioritize AI solutions that drive measurable business impact.

** Influence senior leadership
** on AI strategy, best practices, and opportunities for efficiency and data‑driven decision making.

+  
** Promote organizational awareness and understanding
** of AI capabilities, processes, and value.

** Oversee the development
** of AI systems and provide direction to team members to ensure alignment across subsystems and development efforts.

* ** Minimum Qualifications*
* + Bachelor's degree in computer science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience;
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

+ 7 years of extensive technical experience in variety of application development, software development, machine learning or analytics

** Preferred Qualifications*
* + Master's degree in engineering or related field

+ Experience working in environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.)

+ Previous experience working in a rapid iterative prototyping environment

+ Previous experience in PBM / health care industry
