1. 3+ years' experience in Windows, Linux and/or RTOS embedded systems

2. 3+ years' experience in programming / scripting languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Shell)

3. 2+ years' experience with machine learning algorithms and using Python deep learning libraries like Tensor Flow

4. 2+ years' experience in developing content for application notes and/or quick start guides

Job Description:

The Qualcomm Developer Marketing team is looking for an applications engineer with good communications skills to help enhance the developer experience for third-party developers and accelerate adoption for our industry leading software tools like SDK's, profilers, debuggers, compilers, and hardware development platforms. These 3P developers will be creating diverse applications that interface with various subsystems such as camera, audio, display, graphics, memory, security, and operating system like Windows and Qualcomm Linux available on Qualcomm SoC's.

The ideal candidate should be eager to learn and grow in the field of AI and developer advocacy, and able to work closely with various teams including developer marketing, software and hardware architects, project engineers, product managers, customer engineers, OEMs, OS partners, and application developers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

* Applies Software Application knowledge and technical expertise of software systems to assist with technical presentations in support of business development, customer training, product demonstrations, commercialization, customization, and maintenance of Qualcomm products.

* Collaborates with team members to answer customer inquiries and support debug issues in customer design software systems.

* Assists with completing tasks related to system architecture and feature-specific customizations tailored for customer requirements from proof of concept to final product commercial launches.

* Assists in assessing potential application of company products, preparing product specifications, disseminating technical information, and/or troubleshooting issues regarding software tools and products.

* Writes product technical documentation, application notes, and FAQs.

Level of Responsibility:

* Works under supervision.

* Decision-making affects direct area of work and/or work group.

* Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information.

* Tasks consist of a limited number of steps and can be referenced using directions or manuals.
