• Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team while leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during the product development lifecycle
• Proactively identify and advocate for solutions to project, process, technology, or business issues
• Create and monitor metrics to support the operations and availability of your team’s artifacts

• Minimum of 4 years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin
• Proven track record of developing highly available distributed systems using technologies like AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
• Experience defining a technical plan for significant features or system components with elegant and extensible design
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate collaboration with a global engineering team
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience

• Experience making significant changes in a large code base and developing tools for safe implementation
