• Build scalable systems and components, making appropriate trade-offs for stability and maintainability
• Design, write, test, and release product‑facing features with stringent correctness and scalability requirements
• Collaborate with frontend and data teams to optimize REST APIs supporting millions of customers
• Mentor junior developers and lead complex projects within the team
• Solve complex engineering problems to align results with team objectives

• 5+ years of software development experience, particularly with large‑scale distributed systems
• Familiarity with writing highly concurrent systems and a solid understanding of REST API design
• Proven experience working on significant projects with long-term impacts on systems or teams
• Strong technical skills with excellent judgment on prioritization of tasks
• Ability to mentor junior developers and lead initiatives for system improvements

• Experience with rapid company growth from startup to mid‑size
• Familiarity with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks
• Knowledge of blockchain technology, including Bitcoin and Ethereum
• Experience in decomposing monolithic applications into microservices
• Proficiency in technologies such as Golang, Ruby, Docker, Rails, Postgres, Mongo
  
  DB, or DynamoDB
