Service Manager
As a Service Manager
, you will make an impact by supporting the designing, building, and enhancing cloud‑enabled applications that support critical business functions. You will be a valued member of our engineering team and work collaboratively with product owners, architects, QA, and Cloud/Dev Ops partners to deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions.

In this role, you will:- Design, develop, and maintain application features and services using C# and/or Java
. - Build and enhance cloud‑integrated solutions, leveraging AWS services as required by the application architecture.
- Participate in system design discussions and translate functional needs into effective, scalable, and secure technical implementations.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices for readability, maintainability, and security‑focused engineering.
- Support defect triage, perform root‑cause analysis, and assist in production issue resolution.
- Collaborate with QA, Dev Ops/Cloud engineering teams, and product stakeholders to ensure smooth releases and stable operations.

What you need to have to be considered- Proficiency in AWS
, C#,
Java
, Java Script , and Type Script . - Experience developing with frameworks such as ASP.NET and Vue.js
. - Strong understanding of RESTful services
, web services
, and SOAP integrations. - Hands‑on experience with tools such as Hangfire
, Auto Mapper
, Mail Kit
, and T4 Text Templating
. - Ability to design and build scalable services and application components in cloud‑enabled environments.
- Strong code quality practices, including unit testing, secure coding, and documentation.
- Experience building distributed or event‑driven systems in AWS.
- Strong production‑support mindset with ability to analyze logs, identify root causes, and recommend long‑term solutions.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and Dev Ops practices.
- Ability to influence engineering decisions and contribute to architecture discussions.
- Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments.

The annual salary for this position is between $85,000 - $130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
