Assaia International Ltd. develops machine learning systems for international airports and airlines. We were founded in February 2018 in Switzerland.

Our main product, Apron

AI, is a computer vision system that monitors and analyses aircraft servicing processes from video streams. The data that the system generates is used in real‑time for monitoring, alerting, delay predictions, and also historically – for performance, safety analysis and decision making. Today there is a developed and continuously improved real‑time system. There are multiple production and pilot installations running, with numerous upcoming big rollouts in preparation. We have a growing list of customers, including Seattle‑Tacoma Airport, Alaska Airlines, British Airways, JFK International Airport, Toronto Pearson Airport, Aeroporti di Roma and more. We need you to get on board to help us continue to be the best option for airlines and airports.

• Lead the development of our real‑time video and neural network inference engine, handling video streams up to 4K resolution.
• Solve technical challenges and improve system performance in cloud and on‑premise deployments, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and optimized large‑scale environments.
• Implement and troubleshoot API integrations with various customer systems, ensuring smooth communication, while working with different technologies and learning more about various integration methods.
• Guide team members through code reviews and architectural discussions, sharing best practices and contributing to a collaborative, high‑performing team.
• Troubleshoot system issues with Dev Ops and SRE teams, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
• Shape the platform’s technical direction, influencing key design choices that impact system scalability, innovation, and long‑term growth.

• Very good verbal and written English skills (at least B2+).
• Strong common sense and the ability to reach the optimal speed/quality balance when working on different projects.
• Expertise in Python 3.x, including multiprocessing, threading, and asyncio, with a solid understanding of general programming concepts and best practices for writing clean code.
• Proficiency in Linux and Docker, along with a good understanding of CI/CD processes.
• Knowledge of different protocols and formats such as HTTP, TCP/UDP sockets, AMQP, JSON, CBOR, etc. as well as experience optimizing i/o and profiling memory.
• Experience with networking (TCP/IP), FastAPI, SQL Alchemy.
• Familiarity with video technologies such as codecs/containers/streaming, Kubernetes and other programming languages such as Java, C++, Rust would be a plus.
