Senior Backend Engineer; Node.js

We areseekinga highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team and take a leadership role in driving the development and innovation of our platform. This senior-level position focuses on complex system design, technical leadership, and mentorship within the platform engineering domain. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to build scalable, reliable, and high-performingsystems that are central to our product’s success.

* This is a remote position with preference for applicants on the Pacific coast.

Expertise in Type Script and Node.js, with a strong understanding of asynchronous programming.

Proficiency with Jest for writing unit and integration tests.

Solid experience with SQL and database management, specifically with Postgre

SQL.

Hands-on experience with ORM tools such asMikro

ORM,Sequelize, or Prisma.

Familiarity with

Graph

QLAPI design and implementation.

Experience with

NestJSor similar frameworks for building scalable applications.

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and collaborative teamwork environments.

Prior experience in a mentorship or technical leadership role.

Architect, design, and review complex system components and integrations, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.

Lead significant projects with strategic impact on the platform, from planning to deployment.

Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Drive innovation and improvements in platform technology and development processes.

Advocate for and implement best practices in software design, testing, and deployment. Participate in and influence code reviews tomaintainhigh-quality standards.

Debug and resolve critical platform issues, ensuring the reliability of production systems.
