For candidates residing within commutable distance to one of our offices, a hybrid schedule would be required (3 days in office, 2 days work from home). Those outside of commutable distance may be considered on a remote basis.

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Engineer to join our AI team and help build the next generation of AI solutions. This role will report directly to the Director of AI Strategy & Innovation and will be instrumental in developing and deploying advanced AI‑powered platforms and intelligent agentic systems that transform how organizations manage safety, compliance, and risk.

You will work at the intersection of applied AI research and production engineering, building sophisticated multi‑agent systems, RAG architectures, and intelligent assistants that solve complex enterprise challenges. This is a unique opportunity to shape how AI transforms supply chain safety and risk management on a global scale.

The position requires strong technical leadership, exceptional communication skills, collaboration across departments, delivering impactful outcomes, and a commitment to innovation in AI technologies.

• Design and implement production‑grade AI systems, including intelligent assistants and multi‑agent orchestration platforms.
• Build agentic workflows using frameworks such as CrewAI, Auto Gen, Threads, Lang Chain, and Lang Graph for orchestration.
• Develop and maintain RAG (Retrieval‑Augmented Generation) pipelines for enterprise knowledge bases. Integrate and extend enterprise AI tools through custom solutions.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy custom AI solutions to solve complex business problems.

• Develop robust, maintainable, and well‑tested code for enterprise AI applications.
• Optimize API integrations with LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic) and enterprise platforms.
• Ensure system security and compliance with enterprise standards.

• Utilize modern AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and Git Hub Copilot.
• Build internal automation tools to accelerate AI development workflows.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies and integrate them into Avetta’s platform.

• Lead technical and strategic direction for AI initiatives.
• Lead key projects, architecture reviews, and technical discussions around automation, augmentation, and acceleration of workflows and processes using AI techniques.
• Communicate complicated technical concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including senior executives.
• Drive collaboration and crucial conversations across business functions centering around business processes and workflows.
• Drive innovation and introduce relevant cutting‑edge technologies to maintain Avetta’s industry leadership.

• 5‑8 years of professional software engineering experience, with 2+ years focused on operationalizing/product ionizing AI/ML systems.
• Deep expertise in Python; experience with Java, C/C++, or R is a strong plus.
• Proven track record building and deploying production AI systems with LLMs (such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, AWS Bedrock, etc.).
• Good understanding of agents, RAG architectures, vector databases, and semantic search.
• Strong fundamentals in software engineering, testing, CI/CD, and system design.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with senior leadership.
• Strong experience with agentic frameworks (such as CrewAI, Auto Gen, Lang Graph).
• Familiarity with enterprise SaaS environments and B2B product development.
