Remote Data Engineer

In this role, you will play a crucial part in building real-time data infrastructure that drives our client's success. You'll manage the full data lifecycle, ensuring seamless ingestion, transformation, and analytics of data. By leveraging cutting‑edge technologies, you will contribute to innovative solutions in a collaborative environment and support multiple teams.

• Build CDC pipelines and real‑time streaming (Kafka/Flink)
• Design and maintain data models (raw to staging to core)
• Implement observability, data transformations and quality checks
• Own schema design for multi‑tenant analytics
• Tune query performance (Trino) and optimize storage (Iceberg compaction, indexing)
• Support BI and analytics workloads
• Contribute to infrastructure, CI/CD
• Assist with infrastructure monitoring and observability

• 5+ years of data engineering experience
• Proficiency in CDC and streaming technologies (Kafka/Flink/Debezium)
• Strong skills in Python and SQL along with data modeling
• Familiarity with dbt / SQLMesh
• Experience with Apache Iceberg

• Full ownership of projects in a small team
• Work with a modern technology stack (no legacy systems)
