You will:- Drive the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for the Identity Services team, ensuring alignment with Live Ramp’s overall engineering and product goals.
- Lead a high‑performing team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the day‑to‑day execution and delivery of high‑volume, low‑latency identity resolution capabilities, ensuring operational excellence and quality.
- Anticipate and resolve complex issues and conflicts that extend beyond the team’s direct area of responsibility.
- Influence and guide other teams without direct authority, promoting cross‑functional collaboration to achieve shared goals.
- Hold other teams accountable for quality and timely delivery when dependencies exist.
- Actively engage in long‑term (12‑month) product planning and priority setting (Stack Rank), helping to define the strategic roadmap for Identity Services.
- Be the primary technical liaison for Product Management, ensuring technical feasibility and strategic alignment of product initiatives.
- Help identify, develop, and hire strategic skills to enhance the overall capabilities of the Live Ramp engineering organization.
- Maintain a significant individual contributor (IC) component (approximately 50% of time), focusing on complex technical challenges, architecture, and code quality reviews.
- 3+ years of demonstrating strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to deliver on products as the technical lead.
- 9+ years of hands‑on development experience, ideally leveraging Java or other JVM based languages.
- You oversee coding of critical areas and develop the most difficult code across multiple system components, driving high coding standards and improving development practices.
- Demonstrated experience driving complex designs, high‑quality interface/API designs, and overall architecture improvements across multiple teams and services, leading design reviews and ensuring consistent architecture.
- Track record of driving product/service design and vision inside engineering, using global industry and market trends to deliver successful products and fulfilling unexpressed client wants.
- Experience mentoring more junior engineers, providing technical guidance, and contributing to talent identification at Staff Level & above.
- Strong communicator. Sharing information regularly and concisely.
- Knowledge of the adTech space and particularly the identifiers used in the field.
- Experience with GCP & related services (i.e. Data Proc, Dataflow, GKE)

The approximate annual base compensation range is $177,000 to $256,500. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geography, as well as internal equity among our team.
