Java Solutions Architect; Latam, Remote

We are headquartered in Miami, FL, with a strong South American team, and have clients and partners in the US market across multiple industries. We are looking to expand our roster with a Java Solution Architect located in Latin America to join a client-facing team through a staff augmentation engagement. This role requires deep expertise in backend architecture, distributed systems, and enterprise-grade platforms.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect who can design scalable, high-performance systems while guiding engineering teams and collaborating closely with stakeholders.
We are looking for:10+ years of professional software engineering experience
4+ years in Solution Architecture or Technical Leadership roles
Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot in production environments
Proven experience designing and implementing distributed systems and microservices
Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka preferred)
Strong experience with AWS or other cloud environments
Solid understanding of scalability, performance optimization, and system reliability
Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives
Advanced English communication skills (client-facing role)
Availability to overlap at least 4 hours with Pacific Time
Experience with Graph
QL APIsExposure to React or Type Script
Experience integrating AI-driven or ML-based components
Background in high-traffic or enterprise-scale platforms
Fully remote
