Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer
We're looking for a Software Developer on a 6-month fixed term contract, who enjoys solving problems, creating useful tools, and helping people through technology. You'll be joining a supportive and collaborative team that uses Microsoft Power Platform to design, build, and maintain applications that make life easier for our colleagues and customers. This role sits within our Digital, Data and Technology Team.
You'll be part of a team of developers, analysts and testers who work closely together - and with the wider business - to build useful, user-friendly software. This is a 6 month fixed-term contract and an agile role, with a mixture of office and home working. We have offices in Newport, Cardiff and Swansea and we are open to receiving applications from anyone based in, or near these locations, who could travel to the offices when required.
We believe in working as one team, learning from each other, and supporting every voice to be heard.
- You'll get to work with a variety of tools, especially Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and the Dataverse.
- Every day brings a new challenge - you'll help design and build tools that automate tasks, improve processes, and give people the information they need.
- You'll be supported to learn and grow, with a strong focus on development and learning from each other.
- You'll be joining a flexible, inclusive workplace where your ideas are valued and your wellbeing matters.
- We're all about creating positive change - the work you do will make a real difference.
- We're looking for someone who:
- Has knowledge and 1+ years experience of Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Power Apps & Power Automate.
- Has a coding background within JavaScript and technical experience working in a development environment in a hands‑on role.
- Is a problem solver who enjoys finding solutions and working through challenges logically.
- Can analyse user requirements and translate them into software design specifications.
- Cares about users - we want our software to be helpful, reliable and easy to use.
- Is familiar with testing, source control (like Git), and agile ways of working.
- Is a clear communicator - able to work well with both technical and non‑technical colleagues.
- Willing to learn, grow, and adapt as we do.
