Why this role

We’re looking for a creative and highly motivated Principal Software Engineer, Applications to join our Applications Team to architect, design, build, innovate, and maintain the tools and applications Evolvers use to sell, onboard, and support our value of Customer Obsession. In this role you will plan and execute high impact projects while supporting ongoing cross-functional operations. Whether a new capability or enhancing an awesome feature, you will own your work and deliver the most elegant and scalable solutions.

You will work closely with our Product Team and other cross-functional development teams to design and implement world class solutions.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate is technically savvy, analytical, and process-oriented, with a deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable systems. They should possess extensive experience in leading complex application development projects, mentoring engineering teams, and driving technical innovation. You must anticipate and embrace the challenge of solving critical business problems in a fast-paced environment. We’re looking for a self-starter who can perform a variety of responsibilities and work with cross-functional teams.

What you’ll do

• Build and maintain our Sales and Service Clouds and integrations with upstream and downstream consumers in mind
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in backend development tools and technologies
• Own and support CRM Release Management and contribute to the improvement of CI/CD pipelines, Git repositories, automated testing, and quality gates throughout the application lifecycle
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical documentation for peers
• Execute on engineering and release priorities through strong leadership and communication

What makes you a great fit

• 10+ years of development experience
• Expertise in architecting, designing, and implementing solutions in a highly integrated, enterprise-scale, multi-technology environment
• Comfortable partnering with Dev Ops teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines
• Experience leading design and code reviews
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment with a focus on continuous improvement
• Strong problem-solving skills with a toolkit of debugging techniques
• Experience building custom tooling to automate tasks
• Experience with Git version control and repository management (Git Lab)
• Experience creating solution designs integrating with APIs
• Demonstrated experience integrating with 3rd-party tools, APIs, and other web services

Location

Evolve has a flexible working environment with options to work remotely anywhere in Colorado, at our downtown Denver office, or a hybrid arrangement.

Compensation

Salary range: $160,000 to $208,000, depending on relevant experience. This role is eligible for a variable annual bonus based on company and individual performance.

Other requirements

All Evolve team members must live in one of our approved locations by their first day. We can hire from anywhere in the U.S. except District of Columbia and Hawaii. Some positions may have restrictions based on compensation in certain states. If you live in Colorado, you can work remotely anywhere in the state, at our downtown Denver office, or a hybrid of both.
