Remote Backend Developer; Sr

In this role, you will play a crucial part in building and maintaining backend services, primarily using Go, while leveraging your strong background in Ruby, Python, or PHP. The position focuses on designing robust APIs, improving production systems, and embracing modern tools and practices.

You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and clarity of our systems and contribute to business impact through innovative solutions.

• Build and maintain backend services written in Go
• Design and evolve clean, well-documented APIs
• Own services end-to-end: design, implementation, deployment, and monitoring
• Work on high-throughput, revenue-critical workflows
• Collaborate closely with frontend, data, and product partners
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and retrospectives
• Ramp into Go with support, feedback, and real ownership

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience
• Strong experience in Ruby, Python, or PHP
• Track record of owning production systems
• Solid understanding of databases, schemas, and migrations
• Interest in learning Go and systems-level concepts
• Pragmatic approach to architecture and tradeoffs
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
