As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Shamaazi, you’ll play a key role in building and evolving the systems that power our products and support our mission. You’ll take ownership of delivering high-quality features end-to-end, working across the stack to solve meaningful, real-world problems.

You'll build the platform primitives and integration layers that power our product suite; designing APIs, event flows, and shared services that enable multiple products to scale reliably. You'll work closely with product engineers to define clean contracts between backend systems and frontend experiences, making pragmatic decisions that balance delivery speed with system resilience.

You’ll join a small, remote-first, product-driven team with real influence, helping strengthen core systems while supporting the platform’s continued evolution.

• Own outcomes end-to-end:
  Lead features from concept to production across backend and frontend systems, including deployment, reliability, and security considerations, ensuring they deliver measurable user and product impact.
• Balance pace with quality:
  Make informed trade-offs between speed, reliability, and long-term maintainability, progressively evolving systems to meet future product and platform needs.
• Strengthen core product journeys:
  Enhance key flows such as donations, identity, payments, and recurring giving, reducing friction, improving reliability, and supporting scalable growth.
• Shape pragmatic architecture:
  Influence design decisions for APIs, event flows, and shared services across products, ensuring systems are maintainable, testable, deployable, and developer-friendly, while avoiding over-engineering.
• Build for future growth:
  Design and implement reusable backend services, clean interfaces, and scalable architecture to support mobile experiences, personalisation, notifications, and evolving payment mechanisms.
• Set the engineering bar:
  Uphold strong engineering practices through clean, well-tested code and thoughtful, efficient code reviews, while applying system thinking and solving complex problems effectively.
• Lift the team:
  Mentor junior engineers, share context early, and unblock delivery through hands-on collaboration.
• Partner cross-functionally:
  Collaborate with product and design to define solutions, align on trade-offs, and deliver outcomes with clarity and speed.
• Operate with autonomy:
  Own work independently while keeping the team aligned through clear updates, decisions, and early risk signals.

• You’re an experienced full stack engineer (4–7+ years) who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and:
