• We are looking for someone based in the PST timezone to provide best coverage with Australia and East Coast teams.

Block's Financial Platform organization is responsible for building systems that power Cash App and Square. The organization owns key financial infrastructure enabling both to operate  to the organisation's success is the Bank Rails team. The team builds and maintains Cash App's Banking Rails and payment processing systems.

• Work closely with engineers in your team and partner teams to problem solve, plan, design, and build solutions

• 4+ years of software development or equivalent experience
• 1+ year of experience leading features
• The ability to own design and build creative solutions to complex problems
• A strong desire to perform and grow as an engineer
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
