Senior AI-Native Fullstack Engineer - Nodejs, React; m​/w​/d

Your tasks

• Holistic, continuous development of our SaaS application, which is successfully used by hundreds of eCommerce customers.

• Proactive application of AI tools (e.g., code generation, refactoring, debugging, test automation) to increase development speed and code quality.

• Evaluation and integration of new generative AI/ML services and APIs to expand the core functionality of our SaaS application.

• Taking proactive ownership in the definition and development of new components for our application.

• Direct collaboration with the product team during the creation of prototypes and their transition to market readiness.

• Independent evaluation and driving initiatives for the software-architectural realignment of our platform.

• Actively driving knowledge management in the form of internal training sessions and workshops.

• Analyzing, optimizing, and proactively challenging existing processes, tools, and structures—especially through the use of AI/ML—to increase efficiency, quality, and competitiveness.

• Conducting code reviews, ensuring test coverage, introducing and maintaining best practices, as well as evaluating and implementing modern technologies.

• You are a passionate "AI-native" developer who routinely and critically uses generative AI and ML tools to efficiently handle daily tasks (code analysis, documentation, data processing) and boost productivity in software development.

• At least 7 years of professional experience in web development, preferably with the programming languages Node.js (Type Script), PHP, and React.

• Experience with distributed applications, microservices, and HTTP.

• Understanding of secure coding practices and experience with software and architectural patterns.

• Solid experience with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and their APIs.

• Experience with cloud computing platforms, ideally GCP.

• Experience in designing, maintaining, and optimizing database systems, as well as working with agile development methodologies.

• Excellent German and English skills.

You proactively use these technologies for code generation, refactoring, documentation, and problem-solving to work more efficiently and innovatively.

What tech stack can I expect?Our core stack is based on PHP and Node.js in the backend, and React in the frontend. Additionally, we work with microservices, containers, CI/CD pipelines, and primarily use the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
