** Job Description
** McKesson MPA builds automatic prescription dispensing solutions for warehouse pharmacies such as central fill and mail order facilities. The Software Development Engineer is responsible for developing and maintain applications using .NET Core/C#, WPF, Azure Cloud Technologies, and other modern technologies. The Software Development Engineer is also responsible for maintaining our legacy software in C++/MFC. This includes bug fixing and software enhancement as well as system issue analysis.

This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills and have experience in building scalable and secure applications.

Experience with automation is a plus.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications using .NET Core/C# and C++/MFC.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software requirements.
* Develop and maintain technical documentation related to software development processes.
* Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across multiple systems and environments.
* Ensure the security and integrity of sensitive data.
* Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in software development.
* Assist in the deployment and maintenance of software solutions.
** Minimum Requirement
** Typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience or a graduate degree in Computer Science/Engineering.## ##
** Critical Skills
*** 4+ years’ experience as a Windows software developer
* Strong SQL, with Microsoft SQL Server and/or Maria

DB/MySQL
* Expertise developing multi-threaded and distributed applications
* Strong experience in designing/writing high speed back-end code in Visual C++ and MFC, C# with ASP.NET and/or .NET Core, and MVC
* RESTful services
* Professional demeanor suitable for direct customer interactions
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience with software tools and methodologies such as Git, Jenkins, TDD, and automated testing  This position will involve on-call rotational support over weekends/evenings.
