Position: Full Stack Nuxt and PHP Backend Developer (Integrations & API)

Co-Cart AB is a Swedish company that is working with Condé Nast, one of the world’s largest and most renowned media companies as a customer, with brands such as Vogue, GQ, Wired and The New Yorker.

For Condé Nast Co-Cart is developing a creator-led commerce platform VETTE built to redefine how audiences discover and shop through voices they trust. VETTE will launch in early 2026 and we are searching for skilled and passionate senior developers that want to build something exceptional together with us.

The VETTE platform runs on a modern microservice architecture with services primarily in PHP and Node.js, alongside Python and others. We are expanding our integration layer; especially with a Salesforce Commerce Cloud gateway while maintaining other integrations; and need a sharp and talented Full‑Stack Engineer who can own complex integrations today and grow into broader system leadership tomorrow.

Role Description

We are looking for an exceptionally talented Full Stack Nuxt and PHP Backend Developer (Integrations & API) based in Europe. The role is primarily about building new APIs in both REST and Graph

QL (Appollo) as well as designing, developing, and maintaining Integrations and API solutions in both Nuxt and PHP. The Full Stack Software Engineer will work closely with other developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of various systems and reports directly to the CTO. Additional responsibilities include debugging and optimizing code, collaborating on software design, participating in code reviews, and ensuring system reliability and performance.

There will be a rolling schedule as well that the engineer may need to be available for critical issues. A big plus will be given to candidates who have experience with Sales Force Commerce Cloud (B2C).

What You’ll Do
  • Design, build, and maintain integration services and public/internal APIs that power real‑time data flows between our platform and external systems (Shopify first, others next).
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, Dev Ops, and fellow engineers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Ensure good code quality: write clean, testable code; participate in peer reviews; and champion best practices for reliability, security, and performance.
  • Operate what you ship by helping monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents in a rotating on‑call schedule.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions as we evolve our containerized (Docker/Kubernetes) microservice ecosystem in GCP, and in AWS after a planned transition.
  • Mentor and be mentored: you will receive focused training on various e-commerce platforms and ecosystems (including Shopify) and, in turn, share your expertise in your strongest tech domains.
Qualifications (Must-have)
  • Demonstrable track record of exceptional talent (portfolio, open‑source, past roles, or other evidence; formal degrees are optional).
  • Deep understanding of common design patterns in both backend and frontend.
  • Hands‑on experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs at scale.
  • Deep understanding of relational DBs; exposure to Elasticsearch or similar search tech.
  • Competence with Kubernetes and everyday Bash scripting.
  • Familiarity with at least one of the AWS or GCP.
  • Comfort with Agile delivery and Dev Ops culture (CI/CD, observability).
  • Sharp analytical mindset, attention to details, and clear written & verbal communication in English.
Preferred Qualification (Nice-to-Have Extras)
  • Experience integrating with the Shopify API (or eagerness to master it quickly).
  • Plugin/extension development for Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source.
What We Offer
  • Remote work within European time zones with flexible hours.
  • Building new solutions from the ground up where your architectural decisions. in collaboration with the rest of the team will have long‑term impact.
  • An engineering culture that values autonomy, pragmatic solutions, and continuous improvement.
  • The best team in the world, literally, where we support each other like a family.
Interview Process

1) Intro call (30 min) – Meet the CTO and CEO, learn about us, share your story.

2) Up to 2x technical interviews (each max 60min).

a) Walk through past projects and problem‑solve together.

b) Practical exercise (live coding challenge) – Design or extend an API/microservice.

3) Final discussions – Culture fit & agreement on details of offer.
