Senior Software UI / Front End Tech Lead (m/f/d)

For our client, a well‑known pharmaceutical company in Basel, we are looking for a Senior Software UI / Front End Tech Lead (m/f/d).

The perfect candidate brings strong knowledge of React and strong experience on developing embedded user interfaces using Rust or C++ or similar. Additionally we are looking for someone with experience in the specialized field of Software Development / Engineering for embedded systems and who speaks fluent English.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders including Product Owners, System Architects, Solution Architects, and System Engineers to understand complex business and customer needs, translating them into effective technical solutions and clearly communicating them to both the team and stakeholders
• Design and develop innovative software solutions that comply with regulatory requirements and satisfy key system quality attributes such as scalability, performance, reliability, maintainability, interoperability, and extensibility
• Lead the team in adhering to software development best practices aligned with organizational strategy, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration, ensuring high‑quality deliverables while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence
• Serve as a mentor and role model, guiding and empowering team members in their technical growth, promoting collaboration, and contributing proactively to the team’s overall success

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Software Development / Engineering for embedded systems; experience in a regulated environment is a plus
• Strong expertise in React and significant experience developing embedded user interfaces with Rust, C++, or similar languages. Experience with Electron or Tauri is an advantage
• Skilled at creatively and effectively solving complex challenges, applying thorough analysis and a multi‑faced approach to project problems
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster an inclusive, diverse environment and collaborate effectively within and across teams
• Leads by example to drive cross‑functional value delivery, establish a psychologically safe work environment, empower the team, and create conditions that encourage ownership and accountability
• Motivated to make a meaningful impact on team members, the company, customers, and patients
• Fluent English skills
