Job Summary:
The Software Developer III – Java will support enhancement initiatives within the Credit Platform Canada team, focusing on payment and home ownership journey projects. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional partners to translate business requirements into technical solutions, designing and developing scalable applications, and ensuring high-quality software delivery within a large banking environment.

Work Schedule:

• Monday – Friday

• Core business hours

• 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day)

• No rotation

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with Product Owner (PO), QE Lead, and BSA to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.

• Plan and document comprehensive technical specifications for features and system design.

• Design, build, and configure applications to meet business and application requirements.

• Write testable, scalable, and efficient code.

• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality.

• Enforce software quality standards through code standards, testing, and continuous improvement processes.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the development team.

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of solid full-stack software development experience (frontend and backend).

• 5+ years of Java and RESTful API development experience.

• Proven experience delivering against timelines and project deliverables.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

• 2+ years of software development experience in the banking industry.

• Background in financial services or banking environment.

• Java certifications.

• Agile certifications.

Required Skills:

• Full-stack software development

• Java and RESTful API development

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills:

• Agile methodology experience

• Code review and quality assurance practices

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
