• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend services with a focus on delivering high-quality software
• Collaborate with team members in agile processes to align on project goals and deliverables
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical discussions to foster a learning environment
• Create reliable, secure, and high-performance APIs for traffic management platforms
• Troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems using logs, metrics, and traces

• 3–6+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on backend development
• 2+ years of hands-on Go (Golang) experience building production services, APIs, or tooling
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its managed services
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing RESTful or gRPC APIs
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools, including automated testing and deployments

• Experience with networking/traffic management/service mesh platforms
• Familiarity with security and identity patterns for services, such as OAuth2/OIDC
• Experience designing high-availability, multi-region systems
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and configuration tooling, like Terraform
• Prior experience supporting other product teams in a platform/SRE/infrastructure role
