Looking for an experienced individual with excellent communication skills to join our software development team as a Micro Focus COBOL developer. You will be working in a dynamic fast‑paced environment with cross‑functional teams to design and build scalable software solutions.
This is an in‑office position.
- 5+ years of experience using Micro Focus COBOL in a Linux/Unix environment.
- Preferable knowledge of accounting systems and EDI.
- Experience with Linux/Unix shell scripting.
- Experience with databases, writing queries, and stored procedures using SQL/MySQL.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Analyzes, designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents all assigned components.
- Provide as needed support for IT tickets/bugs via KACE ticketing system.
- Develop expert knowledge of existing applications.
- Participate in departmental rotating on‑call support phone.
- Work with team to improve efficiencies, processes and procedures.
- Design and development of Mirco Focus COBOL applications.
- Programming Languages/Tools: COBOL, CICS, JCL, SQL, DB2
