Position: Software Engineer with Security Clearance
Piper Companies is seeking a Software Engineer to support a leading organization in the technology and infrastructure industry. The Software Engineer will focus on enhancing and maintaining Java-based Spring Boot applications that are distributed using contemporary Dev Ops methodologies across the organization's operational environment. Responsibilities of the Software Engineer:
• Support and enhance Java-based Spring Boot applications.
• Contribute to application delivery using modern Dev Ops practices and tooling.
• Implement and maintain cryptographic operations leveraging PKCS
11.
• Support Linux-based infrastructure and application servers, including Tomcat, Docker, Kubernetes, and Open Shift.
• Build and maintain CI/CD and Git Ops workflows using Git, Pipelines, ArgoCD, and Helm.
• Automate infrastructure and configuration using Ansible, Terraform, Terragrunt, and AI-driven tooling.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries across Oracle and RDS environments.
• Monitor system performance and support ongoing reliability and scalability efforts. Qualifications of the Software Engineer:
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with PKCS
11 or similar cryptographic modules.
• Strong understanding of Linux systems, Tomcat, Docker, Kubernetes, and Open Shift.
• Hands-on experience with Git Ops and CI/CD tooling including Git, ArgoCD, Pipelines, and Helm.
• Proficiency with automation and IaC tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Terragrunt.
• Familiarity with Oracle databases, SQL, and cloud-hosted relational services (RDS).
• Ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems. Compensation for the Software Engineer includes:
• Salary range: $120,000 -$175,000
